Job Summary

Responsible for all product planning and marketing initiatives including market and product research, product development, and supporting the Sales, Customer service, and Manufacturing functions to ensure all customer satisfaction expectations are met in line with Company strategy and goals.

Essential Job Functions

1. Collaborate with other business functions including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, etc. to establish product specifications that meet customer expectations.

2. Manage the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.

3. Work with Sales, R&D, Manufacturing, and other needed departments to meet timelines for new product development and market release deadlines.

4. Conduct market research and analysis on current and future products and product opportunities and make recommendations for future business strategies. This may include visits to current and potential customers.

5. Collaborate with other business functions to develop and improve new and existing product lines based on market and customer information.

6. Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples.

7. Develop marketing strategies for products including core positioning and messaging strategies and concepts.

8. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing as well as product champions, industry experts, and other resources to develop innovative marketing initiatives including value added programs, and marketing materials.

9. Develop hands-on, in depth knowledge of competitive products, and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses providing in depth analysis of the market, industry, and competitors.

10. Support Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service departments through the development and maintenance of marketing materials including FAQs, product notes, user guides, training material, and demos.

11. Provide product training to sales representatives and other departments including feature/benefit opportunities and competitive comparisons.

12. Attend trade shows and perform product demonstrations.

13. Participate in sales forecasting and budgeting, analyzing sales data and providing information concerning sales trends and performance.

14. Work with cost estimating to monitor profitability of product lines and participate in cost-reduction initiatives.

15. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in related field (sales, marketing, business, etc.)

* Minimum 3 years' experience in a Marketing/Product Management role required.

* May require up to 20% Travel

* Knowledge of CRM systems

* Knowledge of Electronic Contact Management systems

* Knowledge of financial concepts including budgeting, forecasting, etc.

* Demonstrated creative ability to identify, develop and implement new product and marketing initiatives

* Ability to plan using forecast methods, data, etc.

* Strong ability to handle pressure and stress

* Excellent customer service skills

* Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software
