Job Summary

Statistical Planners develop statistical forecasts for a particular scope of business, creating demand plans at the category level. Statistical Planners work with Demand Planners to develop base forecasts, adjusting based on a range of variables and ultimately guiding procurement decisions within CDW. Statistical Planners balance knowledge of supply chain, product categories, and statistical analysis to deliver accurate forecasts.

What you will do:

Statistical Planning

  • Statistical Planners are responsible for the execution and monitoring of the statistical planning processes for a defined scope of business. This includes statistical forecast tuning and outlier monitoring and correction.

  • Analyze history for patterns and manage anomalies. Review statistical forecast and any significant variances in the forecast to make appropriate model parameters adjustments.

Demand Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Demand Planners in the management of the consensus forecast for a defined scope of business, responsible for development of base forecast upon which input is added.

  • Collaborate with Demand Planners in the management of new product introductions, supersession, large customer hits, and other variables impacting forecast accuracy. Maintain ownership of appropriate model parameters, determining and performing relevant adjustments.

Analyze Performance & Develop Action Plan

  • Data gathering, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including review of business process metrics and measures linking to business metrics. Review forecast accuracy, forecast bias, and assess collaborative intel to make recommendations to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies. Drive awareness to plan and represent the plan progress as needed.

What we expect of you:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of Purchasing/Supply Chain Management experience OR 9 years of Purchasing/Supply Chain Management experience

  • Expert in Excel and proficient in use of reporting and other analytical tools.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact and present to all stakeholders including executive leadership.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated price negotiation and analytical skills.

  • Critical thinking and resourcefulness to solve problems with supply chain and inventory management.

  • Strong understanding of supply chain and demand planning process and associated leading practices.

  • Strong analytical skills to recognize and interpret both history and forecasts.

  • SQL, Access, JDA/BY Demand planning experience are a plus

Pay range: $ 88,000 - $ 122,400 depending on experience and skill set
Annual bonus target of 5% subject to terms and conditions of plan
