Manager, Receiving Inspection
Business Unit: Power and Actuation Systems
Location: Full-time In-Person, Parsippany, NJ
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Receiving Inspection to join our team. In this critical leadership role, you will take ownership of the receiving inspection function within the PAS business unit, manage a team of quality inspectors, and ensure compliance with quality standards and improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage the receiving inspection function, overseeing quality assurance processes.
  • Manage, train, and mentor a team of quality inspectors.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve inspection procedures to meet compliance and program requirements.
  • Interpret and comprehend engineering drawings, specifications, and other governing documentation.
  • Use various inspection tools including microscopes, borescopes, vari-rolls, gages, profilometers, micrometers, and calipers to disposition materials.
  • Review supplier-provided First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to ensure compliance with AS9102 standards and program specifications.
  • Support internal and external audit activities.
  • Track materials using work management tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality and source inspection of machined/mechanical parts using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proficient in using and programming Coordinate-Measuring Machines (CMM).
  • Capable of conducting Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) inspection according to IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Knowledge of Acceptable Quality Level (AQL), sampling methods, and traceability.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Highly computer literate, including proficiency with MS Office and Access.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.



Physical Requirements:


  • Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands for handling or feeling objects.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stand, sit, walk, stoop, bend, turn, balance, and crouch.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment:


  • This job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. The Program Manager uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).
  • This is a full-time position. Overtime and weekend work could be required as job duties demand.
  • The Program Manager will have limited travel in this position (10-15%)

This position is at our Parsippany, NJ office location.
