Area Maintenance Engineer

To ensure equipment availability and reliability of a production unit in the St. Gabriel plant. Maintain assigned unit in good operating condition (mechanical, electrical & instrumentation areas), with help of internal and external resources within budget constraints. Establish good communication with customers, and control expenses. Implement improvement measures, be responsible for small capital disbursements, participate & support plant wide safety and environmental initiatives.

Duties:

• Mechanical integrity of unit/plant.
• Maintain a safe & environmetally sound working environment (aid to continuously improve it).
• Operate within alloted budget.
• Initiate and control capitalizations.
• Be customer focused without losing track of business needs.

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required; experience in related field is a plus.
• Previous plant experience desired but not required.
