Basic Function

HF Sinclair in Salt Lake City Utah is seeking a Customer Service Representative to answer a range of inquiries pertaining to gas station convenience stores and consumer concerns. As a key point of contact for our customers the ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities.

Job Duties

  • Providing phone, email, and chat support to troubleshoot and resolve common issues related to credit card and mobile payment processing.
  • Answer questions on payment card transaction issues and help resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Answer questions from mobile application users with the setup and use of the Sinclair Oil application (DINOPAY).
  • Identify and escalate priority issues to senior support or management when necessary.
  • Maintain clear and continuous communication with customers to ensure their issues are completely addressed and resolved.
  • Researches and pulls data and reporting from archival systems in response to internal or external requests. Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from timeto time.

Experience

A minimum 1-2 years of helpdesk or call center experience is required.

Education Level

A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Required Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations with patience and professionalism.
  • Proficient in using computer systems, mobile phones and applications, as well as Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and willing to work and cover shifts as needed for co-workers or management.



Preferred Skills:

General knowledge of credit and payment card acceptance and processes

Previous experience with Payment Point of Sale Systems either as a user, or with back-end support

Previous convenience store experience is helpful

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

None

Work Conditions

The 8-hour shift is Monday through Friday. Hours TBD but will be between 7:00 am to 7:00 pm MST in office. A hybrid schedule may be extended after successful completion of training. Initial schedule for training will be M-F 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Overtime or on call shifts may be needed on occasion.
