Overview

As a department, the Global Operations Finance team provides accounting, analysis and reporting support for our Global Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Facilities & Quality functions within Waters. The Principal Financial Analyst reports to the Director of FP&A & Global Functions Finance and will be the main point of contact for the VP of Global Quality and Senior Director, Global Real Estate, Facilities. This is a hyrbid role at our Milford location, must be onsite Tues/Wed/Thurs.



Responsibilities

    Enable and ensure profitable and cash-strong growth of the company by working with the Operations and Finance teams, every day, to influence results and drive accountability.
  • Own the Annual Operating plan, monthly close and forecasting process for various groups withing Global Operations, which will include Global Quality and Facilities/HSE.
  • Develop, establish, and maintain relationships between the Global Operations, Waters Division Finance teams and business partners in Operations.
  • Owns the consolidation and reporting of the Global Operations Capital Process.
  • Analyze and summarize - with business-critical insights - monthly management reports which will be submitted to Corporate FP&A and executive leadership.
  • Assess current financial processes and help to define both long-term and short-term improvement plans with an eye on continuous improvement.
  • Provide in-depth ad-hoc financial analysis in support of various Global Operations Projects.
  • Perform tactical accounting close duties including journal entries, capital and inventory accounting, balance sheet, headcount reconciliations and accruals.
  • Ensure general ledger accounts are accurate and are in accordance with GAAP, and system of SOX compliance and internal controls are maintained.
  • Act as a liaison to Internal and External audits; providing support as requested.
  • Develop and document work instructions and processes.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance and or Accounting.
  • 12+ years of progressive Finance/Accounting experience; SAP experience a plus.
