Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Japanese Bilingual Accounting Advisory Staff in Indianapolis, IN. This role involves working closely with clients-primarily Asian inbound businesses, including Japanese companies-to navigate complex financial reporting, compliance, and operational challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in transaction accounting, financial due diligence, internal controls, and financial statement preparation, while also assisting clients with non-attest accounting services and strategic planning. The position is open to experienced candidates who require visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Advisory & Financial Reporting
Assist clients with technical accounting matters, financial statement preparation, and review of accounting policies and methodologies.
Conduct financial due diligence and validate financial reporting for business operations and compliance.
Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting support, including book closing and preparation of compiled financial statements.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, internal control enhancements, and workflow optimization.
Strategic & Operational Consulting
Support clients in post-merger integration, financial planning, and U.S. market entry strategies.
Assist in business valuation services and provide advisory insights for growth and expansion.
Collaborate on internal audit support and operational consulting projects.
Assist in implementing accounting systems and software to improve financial reporting efficiency.
Client & Cross-Border Business Support
Work with Japanese and Asian inbound businesses to ensure compliance with U.S. financial reporting standards.
Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing timely, accurate, and organized financial information.
Maintain a high level of client service and proactively address client needs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bilingual in Japanese and English (business level) is required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
2+ years of experience in public accounting, financial advisory, or consulting.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Experience with transaction accounting, due diligence, and accounting software is a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
