Position Overview

The Fleet Maintenance Application Trainer has an essential role in training both existing and new acquisition fleet maintenance personnel who are involved in fleet maintenance operations.

As part of the Fleet Maintenance Team, the Fleet 360 Application Trainer will guide our Fleet 360 Super User team, perform regular system updates, assist with training initiatives, mentor new and existing shop administrative staff, technicians, and maintenance managers, organize regular Fleet 360 training sessions, and work closely with regional maintenance managers throughout the company.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Under the direction of the VP of Fleet Maintenance & Equipment Management, lead training sessions for technicians, shop administrative personnel, and maintenance managers on mastering the Fleet 360 Database operational functions and implementing best practices effectively.
  • Work closely with regional maintenance managers to effectively schedule acquisition closings, collect comprehensive fleet information, set up new site locations, and confidently arrange Fleet 360 Database training for new personnel. Additionally, coordinate shop Winterm installations and ensure timely delivery of technician tablets, while organizing all necessary training sessions.
  • Maintaining the Fleet 360 Database system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity to make crucial business decisions related to fleet replacement and new business contracts.
  • Collaborating with maintenance personnel and management to gather feedback and provide technical support for database-related issues and immediate fixes.
  • Ensuring compliance with DOT & NHSA industry regulations and standards related to fleet maintenance data management for regulatory compliance.
  • Conducting thorough data analysis to pinpoint trends and drive improvements in fleet management practices, specifically focusing on preventive maintenance cycles, fleet age, component costs, and labor expenses.
  • Collaborate with regional maintenance managers to establish best practices for fleet management and maintenance operations based on trend analysis.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports and quarterly presentations on maintenance performance, featuring key performance indicators (KPIs), to regional maintenance managers.
  • Engage proactively with the corporate management team to pinpoint and implement strategic enhancements for Fleet 360, significantly elevating the user experience and ensuring a seamless, efficient database system.
  • Other Duties as required.

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IS, or some type of technology.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications, PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
  • Results oriented - Strives to achieve high levels of individual and organizational performance.

  • Attention to details
  • Previous Analysis experience (Business or Technical).

Overall

  • This is a multi-faceted role where you will be reporting to multiple stakeholders. You will need to be flexible and be able to switch "hats" seamlessly to provide exceptional customer service.
  • This is a position in a fast-paced environment; meeting deadlines will require perseverance.
  • Travel will be required at times up to 50% of each month depending on acquisition activity. The frequency and location are determined by the acquisition location and region of the company.
  • Up-to-date travel documentation, immunization records and driver's license will be required.

The ideal candidate will possess strong training skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel. A background in fleet operations or maintenance is preferred, along with experience in data analysis and reporting tools. This role is essential for enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of fleet maintenance operations, contributing to the organization's success.
