Data Analyst (Customer Support & Implementation Focus)

Position Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Data Analyst to join our team. This role will provide a unique opportunity to combine hands-on experience in data storage with a strong emphasis on customer support and implementation. You will be responsible for supporting the implementation of data systems, assisting with data pipeline development, and providing technical assistance to clients during and after data purchase. You'll gain valuable exposure to data integration processes, troubleshooting, and providing ongoing customer support to ensure the success of data-driven projects. This role is ideal for a team-oriented individual who has a strong desire to learn and enjoys the challenges of solving problems and creating solutions.
Position Responsibilities



  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers experiencing issues with their data systems, responding to queries, troubleshooting, and offering effective solutions.
  • Assist clients in understanding how to use and configure data systems, ensuring they can successfully implement and leverage their data tools.
  • Support the creation of customer-facing documentation, such as user guides, FAQs, and knowledge base articles, to help clients understand and maximize the use of their data systems.
  • Provide training and onboarding assistance to clients, helping them understand how to use their data systems, run queries, and perform necessary operations
  • Build and document data workflows, database structures and ETL processes
  • Prepare, maintain and develop documentation methods and best practices for data processes
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies and best practices
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing strategies, and resource utilization
  • Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and application developers to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate solutions
  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of data systems for clients, ensuring that all data components are properly set up and integrated with existing systems



Education:



  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science or related field.



Required Skills:



  • Basic understanding of data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration.
  • Experience with SQL and basic data querying techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues, particularly related to data systems and integrations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical clients.
  • Customer-centric mindset, with a passion for providing exceptional service and support.
  • Basic experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) or data tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing concepts and PowerBI
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java is beneficial.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects, and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.



Preferred Skills:



  • Knowledge of data security and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)



Other Requirements:


  • Occasional travel to Seattle or client locations
  • To meet the U.S. Government clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to pass a U.S. Public Trust background investigation for access to the client site and computing systems. You must have lived in the U.S. for the past three (3) years.
  • All candidates will be subject to a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
