What's the role?

The Solutions Manager will be responsible for the implementation and execution of the Tool Services marketing strategies through their direct reports in a pre/determined geography.

The Manager, Solutions is responsible for overall performance management of their team, through the effective creation of tactical sales plans across multiple divisions in their Market Organization (MO) with the goal of increasing Solution Customers as part of Hilti's global Customer Engagement Strategy. Responsible for developing account specific sales strategies and overall sales competency of their respective team.

They will also be responsible for people development through coaching and modeling of the Solution Consultants via Hilti's development process (My Development) and performance management process (My Contribution) with a focus on developing future leaders and management candidates.

What does the role involve?
  • Execute and deliver on the key performance indicator goals for the territory outlined by the HUB Tool Services and respective MO leadership and Service Managers
  • Utilizes outstanding communication & interpersonal skills to motivate and educate team members and to develop teamwork within and outside of the group
  • Planning of, and participation in, experience exchanges, regional meetings, product launch meetings, review and improve sessions, performance reviews and development discussions within region, with HUB Tool Services and respective Divisional managers across multiple Divisions in respective MO
  • Drive Solution Consultant engagement and support in collaborative business development across Divisions
  • Effectively coach, manage, review and execute activities in conjunction with a robust opportunity-oriented pipeline management process
  • Train and Coach Solution Consultants on the consultative Solution (Fleet Management & ON!Track) sales process
  • Shorten and improve time to performance of new hires
  • Planning and participation in trade shows and other industry event
  • Reporting and analysis of sales results to Division Manager and General Managers of MO
  • Provide marketing support for new product development projects for both hardware, services and software development
  • Responsible for building, maintaining and developing a high performing team through ongoing professional and competency development
  • Required to communicate broadly and regularly in writing and verbally across multiple Divisions and MO
  • Responsible for coaching direct reports how to develop and implement training sessions for their local teams
  • Regular use of social media as a tool to improve company knowledge of market positioning as it relates to customer use
  • Model and coach behaviors through time spent virtually and in the field with each team member
  • Assist in the development of sales & budgetary forecasts on a territorial basis to achieve a balanced distribution of growth responsibility & thus an effective achievement of sales goals
  • Coordinate activities, such as seminars & marketing activities to support field personnel
  • Review, assess and provide input towards additional revenue opportunities through territory realignments, headcount allocation and underpenetrated high potential accounts
  • Additional duties as assigned

What you need is:
  • Bachelor's degree required, or five years of sales experience and/or 2 years management experience
  • Two to five years of experience with Hilti and/or Software Sales
  • Competency in coaching/training a team
  • Strong ability to gain access and facilitate meetings with C-Level employees and decision makers
  • Ability to gather appropriate information and analyze it to develop & implement effective strategies
  • Competency in the use of sales productivity tools
  • Strong presentation, communication & interpersonal skills required
