Job Description

Welcome to an exciting opportunity to join our team at Adtalem as a Finance Intern! This 12-16 week internship, running from June to August, offers a full-time experience of 40 hours per week. As a Finance Intern, you will be an integral part of the team and will work closely with experienced finance professionals. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in financial reporting, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and process improvement. You will be exposed to various aspects of finance and contribute to key financial projects. The intern is expected to attain a fundamental understanding of the finance role within the organization. Additionally, the role involves making recommendations to management regarding process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a part of a project involving AI automation in relation to financial systems, reports, presentations, and analysis.
  • Support in conduction of financial analysis to improve key metrics.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial presentations.
  • Conduct research on market trends, competitors, and industry reports to support financial decision-making.
  • Highlight process improvement opportunities
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field as a junior status (or higher).
  • Strong academic performance (3.2 overall grade point average) and a passion for finance and business analytics.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and technologies for data analysis, financial forecasting, and process automation.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong desire to learn and gain hands-on experience in the finance field.
