Job Title: Senior Accountant

Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing firm in the financial services industry, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their corporate finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in managing the full-cycle accounting close process at the corporate level.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute the full month-end and year-end close process, from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with corporate deadlines.
  • Prepare and review complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively.
  • Prepare and maintain financial statement footnotes in accordance with US GAAP and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist with the development and documentation of new accounting procedures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and external auditors to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects, financial analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of accounting operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred).
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within financial services or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Proven ability to draft or review footnotes for financial statements.
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar).
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-player mindset.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
