What You'll Do:
  • As an AV Lead Technician, you will take ownership of AV system installations, oversee teams, and ensure top-quality results. You'll lead projects, train team members, and handle everything from equipment setup to system calibration and client training.
  • Ensure safety and follow company and client policies.
  • Lead and manage teams of 3+ technicians and installers.
  • Oversee structured cabling system installations, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform system commissioning and fine-tuning for AV systems.
  • Maintain communication with clients and project teams to ensure efficiency.
  • Mentor and train technicians, fostering professional growth.
  • Participate as a trainer in the E2 AV Tech Academy.
  • Promote housekeeping and jobsite organization.
What We're Looking For:
  • Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • OSHA 30 certification (within first two weeks in role).
  • CTS-I and AV manufacturer certifications preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years in AV installation, including new construction and renovation.
  • Proficient with tools, equipment, and troubleshooting AV systems.
  • Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in diagnosing technical and people-related challenges.
  • Proficiency in system calibration and client training.
  • Solid understanding of low-voltage electrical concepts and AV integration.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to regular basis daily. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. The employee may be required to work in tight, confided spaces. The employee must demonstrate regular and on-time attendance. There could be a requirement of occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
