As a member of the Drinking Water team, the Sr. Product Manager is respsible for driving the development & execution of the drinking water roadmap across NPD and Sustaining project workflows. They will work with a cross functional team to drive revenue and profitability goals within the drinking water category. This position will reside in Downers Grove, IL and requires up to 25% - 50% travel, pending product activities.

Key Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with product management team to develop strategic product roadmap for drinking water category.

  • Gather & develop product ideas from competitive benchmarking, VOC, and commercial & REP network feedback.

  • Identify and execute specific product development projects and other key business initiatives in support of the strategic plan and business roadmap. This includes overseeing the product development process to successfully implement new products and feature additions (Define / Direction / Design / Deliver).

  • Define success criteria for projects. Responsible for identifying all product requirement specifications for assigned projects.

  • Partner with marketing and commercial teams to create in person and webinar training programs to educate customers, REP's, and employees.

  • Own process & dashboards for gathering product analytics, competitive intelligence, and pricing to ensure products are positioned properly within the market and identify trends.

  • Interface heavily with Sales including participation in customer shows and visits.

  • As required, lead annual improvement priorities (AIP's). Ensure successful definition and execution of AIP projects to deliver business unit objectives.

  • Be advocate for and expert with the product. Emphasis on part numbers, customer requirements, competitive positions, configurations, applications, and "How to Sell".

  • Become a champion for continuous improvement across the business.

  • Utilize Zurn Elkay Business System (ZEBS) for effective process development, problem solving, and countermeasure activities.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree Engineering, Business, or Marketing. MBA ideal

  • 7+ years product management experience required.

  • Experience with water management or plumbing products.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, as well as excellent presentation skills. Ability to confidently and persuasively present to senior leadership team and key customers essential.

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing data using spreadsheet applications and leveraging data to drive fact-based decision making and process improvement

The compensation range(s) identified below are a good faith estimate of the salary expected to be paid as performed from these locations. Actual salaries may vary based on compensable factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, education and training, and other relevant business and organizational factors. Most candidates will start in the lower half of the range.

The Salary Range - $115,000 - $160,000
