At TC Transcontinental, we've got it made, and that's because of the expertise of our team.We are currently looking for a VMI Coordinator will be responsible for planning and managing production orders and inventory movement for customer VMI programs. This position works with multiple customers and manufacturing facilities to ensure that managed items are produced, made available, and delivered timely. The VMI Coordinator interacts closely with customer service representatives, production planners, material planners, and material handling personnel to manage VMI inventory in all associated plants and warehouses to maintain flow of the supply chain. This person coordinates analysis and transmittal of forecast and inventory data between customer systems and local systems to meet shared objectives.

When your actions lead to success.

  • Understand customer requirements and establish standards to manage VMI expectations.

  • Work with customers' forecasts and historical data to determine proper mix of products to be produced.

  • Create service models directly with customers to interpret forecasts and set dynamic replenishment targets.

  • Provide raw material forecasts for VMI items and monitor to ensure materials are available as required for production.

  • Plan finished goods inventories based on agreed upon safety stock programs to satisfy expected releases.

  • Facilitate logistics programs for VMI accounts, managing transporters and warehouses, as applicable.

  • Minimize inventory costs in alignment with business strategy throughout VMI.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for VMI programs and assist with period financial reconciliations.

  • Work with Customer Service to handle claims and replacements for damaged or missing VMI items.

  • Work in multiple ERP systems and develop efficient processes to utilize them.

  • Identify ways to improve service and delivery to customers.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through good customer relations and delivering product on time and complete.

  • Establish and monitor VMI KPI's on monthly or weekly basis, including release fulfillment and forecast accuracy.

  • Participate in customer meetings on and off-site.

  • Participate in internal meetings with account CSR's, Sales, and other Staff on and off-site.

  • Participate in continuous improvement project committees or activities.

  • Participate in sales forecasting and business level planning with plant management and sales leadership.

  • Other duties as assigned by management or sales and marketing leadership.
