Overview

As a department, the Global Operations Finance team provides accounting, analysis and reporting support for our Global Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Facilities, and Quality functions within Waters. The Financial Analyst II reports to the Cost Accounting FP&A Manager and will collaborate closely with the Milford Plant Controller and other members of the broader finance department.



Responsibilities

    Complete monthly standard journal entries and accruals for Milford plant, ensuring general ledger accounts and reconciliations are accurate in accordance with GAAP, SOX compliance, and systems of internal controls
  • Standard costing and capital expenditure processes and workflows
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis in support of various Global Operations projects
  • Assess current financial processes and reports under the rubric of continuous improvement
  • Act as a liaison to internal and external audit, providing support as requested
  • Develop and maintain process documents and work instructions
  • Be proactive in learning the business and developing oneself professionally


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Accounting

Experience:

  • 2+ years of progressive Finance/Accounting experience, preferably with a manufacturing organization; cost accounting experience is a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills are required; experience with SAP, Blackline, Business Warehouse (BW), and Analysis for Office strongly preferred
  • Experience with month-end financial close process and general ledger reconciliation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data sources and financial reporting tools of accounting information systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team to meet deadlines
  • Operates with integrity, humility, and transparency
