Salon Manager

Contractor position for a Salon Manager is open at the Market Village Apartments! Market Village is a 55+ independent living community. Hours are one day per week and can be by appointment. Cost to Salon Manager is 15% of monthly income. Located at 100 J Roberts Way, New Market, MN 55054

Salon Manager Responsibilities:

• Provide hair care services including shampoo, color, perm, cut, set and comb hair.
• Soak, trim file, buff and polish nails.
• Cleaning and sanitize, workstations and hair care supplies:
• Sweep up all hair in work area and wipe up any water or spills.
• Sanitation of all combs, brushes, rollers, cutting implements and or nail implements.
• Caring for and cleaning of salon equipment.
• Keep logs of hair services rendered by residents.
• Manage shop so all workers function in a professional manner.

Salon Manager Qualifications:

• Must have a current active MN cosmetologist manager/operator license
• Must carry insurance
• Experience in hairdressing and or manicuring.
• Perform all services and sanitation in a manner consistent with quality standards established by MN Department of Cosmetology.
• Ability to relate to a senior clientele
• Maintains confidentiality
