Research Navigator - Cardiovascular Service Line

Description

The Research Navigator role is responsible for navigating and maintaining effective safe flow of research and participates in the development and implementation of research projects with all levels of investigators. Performs analysis and implements research protocols for departmental project.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with PI to formulate and implement plans for conducting research studies in the department. Plans and implements pre initiation activities with assigned staff.
  • Communicates with research team, SRC, IRB and other study sponsors regarding potential and ongoing research projects.
  • Collaborates on development of research protocols and instruction in the development of proper analysis plans for research projects.
  • Mentors learners at all levels in the proper conduct and development of research. Provides individualized teaching and supervision of research plan implementation in concert with other mentors. Educates interns, students, research fellows, and faculty on research process.
  • Collaborates on development of research protocols and instruction in development of proper analysis plans for research.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of scholarly curriculum in the department.
  • Assists in the writing/revision of abstracts and manuscripts under the direction of the PI to help ensure the timely, accurate and complete communication of research findings at regional, national and international meetings and in major and specialty-specific biomedical journals
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Education: Master's Degree in relevant field required. PhD preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Two years of' experience in relevant field required.
