V2X Aerospace Solutions has a Mechanical Engineer I - Environmental Test opportunity to join our Hardware Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN. As an Environmental Test Engineer I, you will work within a team of talented and experienced engineers performing activities related to development, integration, and testing of aerospace and DoD products. Support for these activities may include performing environmental tests, maintaining lab equipment, writing test procedures/reports, and assisting in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities. The actual assigned tasks will depend on the skills of the individual and the project needs at the time. You will be expected to apply your engineering knowledge to provide creative and innovative solutions to problems and to ensure that projects are completed on schedule while following established procedures. You will be expected to work with technical direction at a medium level of independence.

Responsibilities Include:



  • Providing basic support performing environmental tests, maintaining lab equipment, writing test procedures/reports, and assisting in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities
  • Applying your engineering knowledge and participating as a member of a multi-discipline team
  • Contributing to the completion of project/program milestones under the general guidance of the immediate supervisor and team leads
  • Security Clearance & Other Requirements: This position requires the ability to access systems that contain information restricted to US Citizens based on certain Federal Government contractual requirements.

Desired Skills:



  • Previous Engineering project and/or internship experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment


Education Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related STEM degree
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0+ is strongly desired
