Nursing student provides assistance to licensed personnel in the delivery of patient care in an acute care setting. Performs in accordance with academic education and clinical training provided through a nursing program. Works at the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program, seeking an associate's or bachelor's degree of nursing.
• Have successfully completed the fundamentals of the nursing course with both lecture and clinical components with documentation of knowledge/competency of basic skills.
• Ongoing confirmation of enrollment in a nursing program as a full-time student is required each semester.
• Maintains current BLS.
• Maintains a 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) while currently enrolled in an accredited nursingprogram.
• Completesall SNE competency training and education within 90 days of hire into the SNE position.
