Position Summary

Looking for an energetic and creative summer intern that is willing to join our Merchandising team. This position will play a key role in supporting the team with various projects related to model home design and installation, interior finishes, sales office design and exterior color selection for communities across the country.

Responsibilities

    Support Model Home Design Team
    • Inventory & organize stock fabric for future use
    • Check stock & Order memos of fabric and finishes for Design Library
    • Check stock and price on selected items
    • Assist in reselections
    • Pack and ship accessories for out of state installs
    • Lite AutoCAD drafting
    • Assist on in state model installations
  • Support Interior Finish Design
    • Inventory and Organize interior finish materials
    • Assist in packaging and shipping sample kits to out of state sales offices
    • Create digital mood boards for finish packages
  • Support Exterior Color Design
    • Inventory and Organize paint samples and exterior stones
    • Assist in putting together exterior color matrixes
    • Order paint books, review for accuracy, ship to appropriate locations
  • Support Sales Office Designer
    • Draft office layouts based on standard templates

Requirements

Education: Associates Degree or Bachelor's in Interior Design or currently enrolled in a program

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and current auto insurance
  • Must be an organized, self-starter and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be flexible and able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCad.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $20.00 - $25.00/hr
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
  • Bonus Type: Not eligible
