Responsibilities:

* Primary objectives will be supervising Company Patrol Pilots. This will include managing pilots in their day-to-day performance of their jobs, providing initial training, and conducting proficiency route and flight checks/reviews of Company pilots, which includes maintaining crew training records to meet FAA requirements.

* Manage patrol pilot schedules and aircraft assignments to help meet patrol frequency requirements and special flight requests from the Field.

* Provide vacation/PTO relief for pilots, and during times when additional flying may be required.

* Use our aviation Safety Management System (SMS) to help identify, mitigate, and manage risk in operations.

* Review/approve all pilot's expense reports, timecards, and provide pilots with their annual Company employee performance reviews.

* Assist department manager in other tasks as needed.

Essential Requirements: Experience, Educational & Special Training Required

* FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument rating.

* Certified Flight Instructor, Airplane Single; Instrument Airplane

* Valid FAA Medical Certificate Second Class. Annual Company wellness physical also required.

Preferred Skills:

* Training in aircraft operations, meteorology, navigation, and federal aviation regulations.

* Eight years of flying experience with a minimum of 3,000 hours total flight time.

* Pipeline patrol knowledge and experience.

* One year or more of supervisory experience.

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of experience.

Special Characteristics/Job Requirements:

* Good verbal and written communication skills.

* Good organizational, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

* Able to work without direct supervision.

* Overnight travel throughout the year will be required.

* Subject to extended workdays and/or workweeks, and call-out for emergency response. Will be on call and required to carry a cell phone.

* Candidate must have a proven safe driving record and provide documentation of past traffic violations upon request, as well as maintain a valid driver's license.
