Position Description
Manages a section in a department that has institutional oversight. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures for the section. Represents the section to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.
Major/Essential Functions
- Oversees simulation personnel assigned to day to day operations to ensure implementation of simulation-based environment to include set-ups, tear-downs, audio/visual needs, data entry of utilization of space and supplies, equipment maintenance, ordering, and inventory.
- Manages campus/site-specific initiatives, operations, and financial needs, and communicates progress, challenges, and resource requirements to the Associate Managing Director of Regional Simulation Center Education and TTUHSC Simulation Leadership Team.
- Ensures scheduling of activities and events at the designated center/s are in alignment with TTUHSC Simulation Program scheduling policies and TTUHSC space guidelines.
- Performs assessments in collaboration with the Associate Managing Director of Regional Simulation Center Education and the TTUHSC Simulation Leadership Team to assist with programmatic assessment needs.
- Collaborates with other centers' team members to ensure appropriate interactions for consistency in the environment, equipment and supplies, to include moulage, for simulation-based experiences.
- Oversees orientation, training, and professional development of simulation staff in collaboration with the Associate Managing Director of Regional Simulation Center Education.
- Provides the oversight and engagement with community stakeholders for outreach programs, promotional events, tours, recruitment, and public relation activities within their center/s.
- Assists the Associate Managing Director of Regional Simulation Center Education with faculty/facilitators and simulation staff's adherence to Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best PracticeTM and SSH accreditation guidelines in specific designated aspects of the TTUHSC Simulation Program.
- Builds and maintains relationships with campus stakeholders, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed and appropriately escalated to the TTUHSC Simulation Leadership Team.
- Takes ownership of campus-specific decisions within established guidelines to ensure alignment of campus operations with organizational goals, escalating matters requiring higher approval to the Associate Managing Director of Regional Simulation Center Education.
- Performs other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required plus four years supervisory experience.
