Associate Product Manager - New Product Introduction

Description:

Molex is seeking an Associate Product Manager within our Transportation group who will focus on Future Bet products as well as supporting Grow products. They will be responsible for refining and improving product roadmaps and collaboratively developing and implementing growth and profitability improvement strategies. This role will have a focus on refining our Future Bets as well as finding new homes for Grow products.

The ideal candidate would demonstrate strong economic thinking and negotiation skills, be resourceful and flexible, have an ability to lead cross functional groups, and drive internal and external customer engagements to execute the vision.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

TECHNOLOGY and OPERATIONS Aspects:

* Support the development of product roadmaps and strategies while leveraging the Principle Based Management (PBM) framework and mental models, including the Decision Making Framework (DMF) thought process, to make the optimal financial and strategic decisions

* Develop proposals for customer requests that align with the Product Family Vision

* Work closely with cross functional groups, including Sales, Manufacturing, Procurement and Finance to align and execute on key initiatives - Profitability Improvements, Technology Developments

* Understand financial impacts and develop pricing strategies for new market introduction

* Identify and execute opportunities for improvement and optimization to maximize profit

* Work to automate and improve processes over time to streamline activities

SALES & MARKETING Aspects:

* Maintain our strategic customer relationships during the development and execution of these strategies

* Work closely with Sales and Product Management teams to develop clear customer communication on product and pricing strategies

* Understand customer pain points to support vision and growth of product families

* Advance customer relationships through presenting product roadmaps and support customer meetings, tech shows, and other customer facing events

The Experience You Will Bring:

Requirements:

* Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business with a preference for technical background

* 2+ years of experience in Product Management or equivalent skillset, with a focus on strategic thinking in whitespace areas

* 1-2 years of relevant Sales or Business Development experience

* 1-2 years of experience working with a manufacturing and/or engineering organization, preference in the automotive industry

* Strong, direct customer negotiation skills

* Experience in automotive electronics strongly preferred

What Will Put You Ahead

* Prior financial and economic thinking experience

* Sound technical experience in the connectors or automotive space

* Global work experience a plus
