If so, you could be the highly motivated Fire Protection Engineer we are seeking to join our team! In this role, you will work with the Authority Having Jurisdiction for fire protection matters at Sandia. You will use engineering analyses to provide technical justifications for design decisions, fire system life cycle management, and accident analysis. You will have the opportunity to employ the scientific method in performing fire investigations to determine origin and cause. This role will also partner with line management to develop performance-based solutions that ensure mission work aligns with the Department of Energy (DOE) fire safety objectives and the intent of fire and life-safety code requirements. Salary Range: $85,100 - $164,100 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential. Qualifications We Require:

About Our Team: The Building and Fire Safety Department at Sandia National Laboratories is a DOE Safety Management program that uses technical knowledge of risk-based analysis, fire dynamics, building construction and national consensus standards to implement a comprehensive corporate fire protection program so that Sandia's mission can be enabled while protecting Sandia workers, the environment, the public and DOE property from fire-related events.
