The Role

Creates networked device configurations in a lab environment to facilitate the execution of test plans and test cases on Enterprise and Mass Markets Network equipment and software, including Cloud hosted Controller architectures, Wireless Access Points, and Network Interface Devices (NID). Identifies appropriate hardware and software combinations necessary to accurately recreate field scenarios that capture device performance. Troubleshoot test case failures to identify the root cause. Work with the Device or Software under test vendors to identify a solution, then test and verify that solution. Perform development and testing necessary for updates and defect resolution in the form of lifecycle support for fielded solutions. Create and maintain test case and test plan documentation and results reporting. Apply Automation to testing activities where appropriate.

This position is based out of CO.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Thorough knowledge of Computer Networking, both WAN and LAN
  • Expert knowledge of the TCP/IP Stack and standard networking protocols (DHCP, NAT, ICMP, etc.)
  • Skilled and experienced in Cloud Controller architectures for on-premises network solutions
  • Demonstrated responsibility for conducting performance testing
  • Able to design & Implement test cases and build test plans
  • Demonstrated responsibility for configuring and setting up test environments
  • History of troubleshooting defects to identify a root cause
  • Clear and concise communicator, written and verbal
  • Thorough knowledge of the OSI model
  • Understanding of testing methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps
  • Basic Scripting knowledge (Python preferred)
  • Atlassian Jira experience
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 3-6years of experience in Computer Networking
  • 3-6 years of experience in Testing/Troubleshooting
  • CCNA, CCNP, CWNA, CWNP (preferred, not required)
Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$87,117 - $116,156 in these states: CO
