Mansfield Service Partners is looking for a Terminal Manager for our Fort Worth, TX location.

Description

The Terminal Manager is responsible for the day to day operations, long term success and P&L support of the LTL, FTL and Service fleet departments. This includes the working management role of fleet budget, drivers, maintenance, and driver qualification files, as well as training new team members.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Develop clear vision, goals, and objectives for the department that support company goals and objectives
    1. Ensure that defined goals are in alignment with Mansfield Oil goals
    2. Develop and execute a succession plan to ensure leadership stability and growth of our operation's supervisors
  • Develop a clear strategy to keep team members focused on high performance throughout the year
  • Operates in a manner that is consistent with safe operations and complies with safety rules, promoting clean and safe working conditions
  • Implement a strategy and improve key processes used every day
  • Develop clear strategy to achieve measurable and financial goals
    • Support P&L and budget to create profitability and achieve strategic yearly financial goals
    • Develop and implement clear strategies for maximizing profitability and customer retention for fleet assets and offices
    • Interact with all relevant Mansfield Oil departments daily to maximize profitability and customer retention
  • Coordinate team member scheduling, staffing, and time/attendance approvals to ensure excellent customer service and response is achieved
  • Manage and coordinate daily fleet & driver related issues to ensure loads are delivered timely
  • Coordinate maintenance activities of fleet and automotive equipment as needed with the regional Fleet Manager; coordinate preventative maintenance programs
  • Employee life-cycle responsibility, to include hiring, training, coaching, disciplining and supervising all direct reports
  • Oversee DOT compliance and reporting as it relates to fleet & driver qualifications
  • Coordinating the safe delivery of company assets(fuel tanks/accessories) to our customers and all service related repairs to these assets

Coaching and Mentoring

  • Develop hiring skills and strategies to hire top quality talent to drive the success of the offices now and in the future
  • Develop clear goals for staff each year that support company goals and objectives
  • Develop a coaching strategy for staff to achieve or exceed goals and objectives
    • Regularly review performance with staff
    • Help staff focus on what is within their control to achieve success
    • Celebrate success
    • Quickly address performance issues in a constructive manner
    • Create positive accountability and follow-up to achieve goals

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related work experience preferred

Knowledge & Experience

  • At least three(3) years of prior experience in freight or logistics required
  • Three or more years of leadership experience preferred
  • Petroleum experience preferred
  • Dispatch experience preferred
  • Driver management experience preferred
  • Intermediate to expert Excel proficiency required
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to read, understand and analyze P&L

  • The ability to deal with and resolve customer complaints effectively and efficiently
  • The ability to interact confidently with all levels of senior management
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to make quick, quality decisions

Work Environment

  • 40+hour on-site work week
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals
  • Ability to travel for business, less than 25%
