Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified Director/Vice President of Land Development & Entitlements to join our RAH team. This position is responsible for all Land Development functions including overseeing municipal entitlements, bidding, budgeting, scheduling and coordinating all phases of pre-construction. The job title for this position will be determined based on the experience level of the selected candidate.

Responsibilities...

    Coordinates preparation and accumulation of all permits, entitlements and plans to bid projects
  • Coordinates all Land Development Consultants (Geotechnical Engineer, Environmental Consultants, Landscape Architects, Dry Utility Designer, Structural Engineer, Civil Engineer, etc.) and their respective Improvement Plans, Final Map, Structural Plans (i.e. walls, bridges), Landscape Plans, and Dry Utility Plans with all government agency and utility company requirements
  • Assist Vice President of Land Acquisition with detailed land development takeoff budget
  • Schedule all phases of land development with Sales and Production Department needs in mind, i.e., early model and production phase openings
  • Identify and institute alternative construction methods to expedite and streamline all functions where possible
  • Conduct continuous job site management and inspections to ensure quality control and schedule parameters are met
  • Maintain continuous contact with job superintendents and provide technical and practical training and support to assist in career growth
  • Coordinate and schedule final inspections as well as all utility/agency approvals to expedite Bond/Surety releases upon completion of all improvements

Requirements

Education: College Degree preferred and equivalent work experience.

Experience: Requires minimum five years' experience with multiple project supervision in new home construction and offsite construction.

Skill in: Requires strong managerial, interpersonal, organizational, technical and decision making skills. Must also have basic mathematical and analytical skills. Must have ability to read and understand construction blueprints, shop drawings and site plans. Must be proficient in developing land development budgets, bidding, contracting, and managing land development consultants. Requires knowledge of proper job site safety management.
