Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Management Expert I at an expert level to lead and manage complex consulting projects across multiple domains. The Senior Consulting Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, ensuring that deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and advanced project management skills to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver results that drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage multiple high-profile and complex consulting projects from initiation through completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement project strategies that align with client objectives. Collaborate with senior leadership to define project goals, scope, and resource requirements.
- Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and motivate project teams, ensuring high performance and successful collaboration. Facilitate cross-functional communication and problem-solving.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks, issues, and roadblocks in project delivery. Develop risk mitigation strategies and escalate issues as needed to senior management.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the development and delivery of project deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes that meet or exceed client expectations. Conduct regular quality reviews and refine processes for continuous improvement.
- Budget & Financial Management: Manage project budgets and resources efficiently. Monitor expenses and ensure that projects are completed within financial constraints. Provide detailed financial reports and updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate project status, progress, and challenges to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Change Management: Lead the change management process, guiding clients through organizational and operational transitions related to the project, ensuring smooth implementation of new processes or systems.
- Thought Leadership & Best Practices: Contribute to the development of consulting methodologies, tools, and best practices. Stay current on industry trends and provide expertise to both internal teams and clients.
- Program and Process Improvement: Lead and develop a best in class lessons learned program, project peer review process, scope of work challenge sessions, and other programs suggested by industry experts
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management or other applicable discipline. Demonstrated ability to organize and lead others. 12+ years project management experience; preference in electric utility or other regulated environment construction; or a commensurate combination of education / experience is required.
- Required: PMP Certification
- Proven expertise in managing projects from inception to completion, particularly in high-stakes and high-visibility environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams, as well as manage relationships with senior executives.
- Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), tools, and frameworks.
- Exceptional problem-solving, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to various stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with budget management and resource allocation for large-scale projects.
- Ability to manage and resolve conflicts, mitigate risks, and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Consulting experience in specific industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, technology, etc.)
- Advanced certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or Lean Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Primavera, Procore, etc.).
- Ability to drive process improvements and innovate within consulting practices.
Skills and Abilities Utilized in this Role Include:
- Must have a strong commitment to safety and be able to act in a leadership role in this area. Ability to perform job duties while adhering to the highest ethical standards.
- Ability to understand and work within NERC/FERC standards.
- Ability to follow stringent security rules, regulations and protocols. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to understand MS Project or Primavera P6.
- Ability to analyze and develop strategies to efficiently schedule projects. Must be comfortable with change and complexity in dynamic environments. Demonstrated ability to plan, direct, and manage the work of others.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to present in a professional manner and represent the company image. Strong contract administration and change control skills. Strong negotiating skills.

Scope
Primary focus is on daily deliverables, outputs, reporting along with the proactive improvement of process and workflows for the larger group. Confidently manages one's own time and work flow and prioritizes work effectively. Responsibilities are both operational and strategic in nature. Daily work is typically complex in nature requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform role. Has well established capabilities, acts as a resource to less experienced staff and peers on complex issues which require subject matter expertise.
Hybrid Work
Position follows our hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely. Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs.In this role customer site visits may require you to visit a site on a non -office day.
