Team Overview and Job description

The Macro CVA trading desk is responsible for pricing and managing a large and global portfolio of credit risk and funding risk for the Interest Rate Products and Currencies Businesses arising from derivative transactions. Credit exposures span across high quality IG credits to in-bankruptcy situations. On a day-to-day basis, team members will be expected to evaluate and price credit risk, funding risk and return on capital on derivatives transactions, stay connected with market events across interest rates, currencies and credit markets, and work with the wider team to build and expand the overall business.

Job Responsibilities



  • Work with other CVA traders, Investment banking coverage, and strats for credit due diligence, structuring, negotiating and pricing of derivative transactions
  • Summarize key risks from derivative transactions
  • Understanding trends in credit / rates / FX markets
  • Ongoing monitoring of counterparty credit for larger risk positions and weaker credits
  • Create risks summary and hedge ideas
  • Trading hedge ideas across credit, interest rate and fx products

  • Independent thinker with strong problem-solving ability
  • Good inter-personal skills and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Track record of achievement

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $110000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
