As primary investment area within Goldman Sachs, we provide investment and advisory services for pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, financial advisors and individuals.

Responsibilities:



  • Member of Public Strategies client team focused on the External Investing Group (XIG)'s relationship with Americas Private Wealth Management (PWM) business across 15 US PWM offices; XIG oversees the due diligence process and selection of external investment managers to be utilized in PWM client portfolios for ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices or smaller institutional clients (endowments, foundations and hospitals)
  • Assist in educating and advising PWM teams on 250+ external investment manager public equity, fixed income and real asset strategies, including providing insights on manager due diligence and selection, portfolio construction, performance and risk evaluation, as well as vehicle selection and fees
  • Support content development for existing client and prospect presentation books, XIG Investment Committee, Request For Proposals, and other investment-related analyses
  • Prepare regular quantitative and qualitative content for presentations that cover XIG public market views and platform offerings
  • Develop relationships with PWM financial analysts and key PWM stakeholder groups to understand client needs
  • Support the XIG CPS Public Strategies team's broader initiatives focused on enhancing client service, data efficiency, and infrastructure development



Qualifications



  • 3-5 years of professional experience in the asset management industry
  • Specific public equity and fixed income background and experience preferred
  • Strong interest in capital markets, asset management, and understanding of traditional asset classes
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills to oversee production of a high volume of quality work within tight timeframes, often including multiple simultaneous projects
  • Attention to detail - proven experience of delivering high levels of accuracy
  • Knowledge and understanding of Excel, PowerPoint and Word and adaptability to other software products
  • Strong communication skills with ability to convey ideas in an impactful manner
