Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Brownfield facilities projects related to maintenance, regulatory compliance, and production optimization demands

  • Manage projects to achieve safe, timely, and successful execution and implementation

  • Manage and coordinate project approvals, engineering design, procurement, construction, budget and be on site for commissioning/startup

  • Solicit feedback from stakeholders to develop an appropriate basis of design

  • Trial new technologies to determine viability at larger scale for full implementation.

  • Manage, forecast, and report project costs and results

  • Conduct design reviews and risk analysis (where applicable)

  • Request assistance from, and provide information to support groups (Electrical/Automation/IT) to implement entire project design

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years work experience in oil and gas engineering or operations or related field.

  • Familiar with Upstream oil and gas facility operation and maintenance

  • Familiar with surface regulatory, environmental and land permits and regulations

Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering required; Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Petroleum, or Civil Engineering preferred.

Skills & Competencies:
  • Able to plan and execute engineering projects independently, seeking out help and feedback when appropriate

  • Able to communicate effectively and frequently with a diverse range of personalities to drive successful outcomes

  • Practical knowledge of MOCs, HAZOPs, and PSSR/commissioning process

  • Expertise in project management principles especially project cost management, time management, scope management and procurement management

  • Extensive knowledge of process facilities, pipelines, rotating equipment, surface equipment design and operation

  • Applicable knowledge of automation and electrical design principles

  • Understands and demonstrates sound working knowledge of basic technical principles and can apply them to solve routine problems.

  • Prepares logical, technically supported memos, recommendations and reports.

  • Works with fellow asset or project team members to provide technical solutions.

  • Understands local and corporate management goals and business objectives and incorporates the same into problem solving process.

  • Able to apply advanced methods to solve routine problems; awareness of at least one other discipline (reservoir, completions, drilling, production)

  • Proactive in identifying risk and seeks assistance from local experts on technical matters

  • Actively seeks continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices and procedures

  • Can prepare and deliver logical, well-supported presentations to peers and management

  • Basic Understanding of economic principles and methods of cost analysis/tracking

  • Possesses a collaborative nature and actively participates in teams

The salary range for this position is:$ 100,800 - $ 138,600 Annual

*Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements may receive consideration for higher-level role given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
