Commercial Dealer Development Manager / Eastern Region

The Commercial Dealer Development Manager is responsible for the expansion and strengthening of the Stellantis dealer network by developing "fleet-minded" dealers and optimizing dealer engagement strategies. You will have direct interaction with various dealer personnel as well as regional and corporate contacts. The ideal candidate must enjoy working with our dealerships, have detailed knowledge on the commercial fleet business, have a passion for the car business and live in the assigned territory in the Eastern part of the country. Job duties include:



  • Identify, train, and develop "fleet-minded" dealers to enhance their commercial sales capabilities and improve fleet expertise.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Area Managers (CAMs) and internal teams to align dealer incentives, sales strategies, and fleet business objectives.
  • Utilize data analytics and performance insights to coach dealers, drive commercial sales growth, and support conquest and retention efforts.
  • Responsible for coordinating and performing the tactical day-to-day activities necessary to ensure optimum performance of the commercial vehicle business plan including, attaining monthly, quarterly and annual commercial sales and dealer participation objectives within his/her territory
  • Properly plan weekly routes and appointments to maximize effectiveness of dealer visits and track success
  • Conduct in-dealership consultation focused on optimizing the dealership's overall commercial operations
  • Promote, monitor, and enforce dealer compliance with Stellantis Commercial policies and procedures
  • Work closely with MOPAR and the dealer service department to ensure quick turnaround and priority of customer fleet units
  • Develop and share dealer best practices among dealerships to improve used vehicle profitability
  • Monitor dealer inventory and promote out of stock sales through customers and Fleet Management Companies

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in business to business sales or dealer sales
  • Must reside or be willing to relocate to the Eastern region of the country
  • Commercial vehicle product knowledge
  • Experience working in the automotive or fleet environment
  • Maintains a selling mindset
  • Excel in building positive working relationships
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to achieve goals under minimal supervision
  • Willing and able to travel up to 60-80% of the time


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Knowledge or experience with dealership commercial sales processes
  • OEM field sales experience related to commercial market segment and products
  • Automotive background in a fleet management environment
  • Experience/relationship/understanding of Bailment Pool and/or commercial equipment Upfitters
  • Strong negotiating skills
