Job Summary |
Performs work associated with laboratory and/or research equipment installation, fabrication, maintenance, and/or repair.
Will manage the concrete materials laboratory and perform technician duties that include providing training to students in lab procedures and use of test equipment, conducting concrete testing, and assisting with research in the area of concrete materials. Will also perform technician duties in the Advanced Structural Engineering Laboratory (
ASEL). |
Essential Functions |
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- instruct and assist students in lab procedures and use of test equipment
- collaborate with the design and scheduling of concrete research projects
- collect, test, prepare, and keep inventory of raw materials
- prepare concrete test specimens; conduct standardized tests
- maintain and clean concrete laboratory and testing equipment
- document test procedures and results
- calibrate test equipment
- maintain safe facilities and equipment in all laboratories

Minimum Qualifications

Tech I - Associate's Degree Coursework in Engineering related field and 0 years of experience in the practices of assisting in engineering design and manufacturing
Tech II - Associate's Degree Coursework in Engineering related field and 2 years of experience in the practices of assisting in engineering design and manufacturing
Tech
III - Associate's Degree Coursework in Engineering related field and 4 years of experience in the practices of assisting in engineering design and manufacturing
Tech IV - Associate's Degree Coursework in Engineering related field and 6 years of experience in the practices of assisting in engineering design and manufacturing |
