The purpose of this department is to ensure that data is of a high quality, secure, and accessible. The main role of this position is to assist the information/data governance team in the formation and execution of the data governance framework, policy, and standards. We're looking for a curious and tech-minded individual with a solid foundation in data management. This position requires good communication, project management, process standardization, technical, and analytical skills. This person will help us improve and support data quality to bring consistent and compliant data governance excellence to the enterprise. What you will do:
- Assist with establishing data policies and program procedures in accordance with industry standard best practices, both at the department-level and the enterprise-level to support program compliance. This will include coordination of data governance processes with information security, legal, risk and compliance processes.
- Actively monitor external trends and best practices for data governance and define data use cases for the organization.
- Configure and maintain a data catalog repository, data lineage mapping, data maturity and lifecycle management, data dictionaries and glossaries, etc.
- DSAR request processes and other compliance requirements as needed.
- Assign data owners and data stewards to structured and unstructured data assets.
- Contribute and lead socialization of data governance disciplines throughout the organization.
- Develop and manage KPI's for board reporting
- Support the technology used to build and maintain the enterprise data catalog with business classifications and terms, and the data stewards and data owners who utilize it, which includes pushing vendor application maintenance packages to virtual windows servers
- Perform MFT/SFTP processes
- Write policy rules and perform system configuration
- Metadata extraction, including SQL reporting
- Manage ticketing systems
- Challenge the business to help identify risks, deficiencies, and control gaps
- Produce infographics or other graphic designs for communicating complex data, processes, dataflow, and ideas.

What you can bring:
- Bachelor's degree in information science, data management, computer science or related field, or 4 years' equivalent and related job experience can be used in lieu of education requirements.
- Working knowledge of standard Data Governance operating model, procedures, and tools is highly preferred.
- Working knowledge on SQL Server, Query Optimization is preferred.
- Certifications in Data and Analytics practices (Preferred), such as:
- Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP)
- Master Data Management (MDM)
- Certified in Data Protection (CDP)
- Information Governance Professional (IGP)
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
- Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP)
- Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills.
- Strong ability to work effectively, timely, and professionally with team members, management, business leaders, vendors, etc.
- Ability to create a narrative from data findings in a business context.
- Communicate complex information, concepts, or ideas in a confident and well-organized manner through verbal, written, and/or visual means.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Advanced prioritization skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines having conflicting priorities.
- Function in a collaborative environment, seeking consultation with team members and other business units.
- Demonstrated ability to execute change management concepts and strategies, including communication of project rollouts and culture change initiatives.
Location: This is an on-site position in Oklahoma City in the corporate office. Relocation: Not available - candidates must currently reside in the Oklahoma City area.

Experience
4 - 6 years: 4 - 6 years' experience in a Metadata Management, Enterprise Information Governance or Data Governance role in a major services organization with large-scale data project experience or experience as part of an enterprise task force responsible for implementing or overseeing these governance areas required.
