• Position: Telemetry Technician

• Location: Chicago, IL

• Part Time, 24 weekly hours

• Hours: M-F 7p-7:30a, rotating weekends and holidays

• Required Travel: none

A Brief Summary:

• The Telemetry Tech is responsible for monitoring the cardiac rhythms of all telemetry patients using video monitoring system.

What you will do:

• Performs Telemetry Technician duties for the Nursing Unit.

• Monitors cardiac rhythms of all telemetry patients and maintains a safe environment.

• Answers patient call system and obtains appropriate assistance.

• Keeps work area and telemetry equipment clean.

• Assists in orientation of new Telemetry Technicians.

What you will need:

• High School graduate.

• Successful completion of an EKG Rhythm Interpretation Course, which includes a comprehensive exam.The course must be approved.

• One year hospital experience as a Telemetry Technician or similar is desirable.

• Ability to observe and report accurately technical ability for handling specialized instrumentation and equipment.

• Ability to handle confidentiality appropriately.
