PURPOSE

FormFactor has an exciting and interesting opportunity for a software development role working on tools used in the design and manufacture of FormFactor's industry leading probe card products. The role involves software development primarily in C++ using Microsoft Visual Studio. Products developed cover a wide range of uses from automation for electrical design, including net list synthesis, floor planning, auto-routing and component placement to automation for mechanical design including generation of photo lithography masks and mechanical assemblies. You will become a member of a small team focused on developing and supporting CAD software tools used by multiple product design teams and a global manufacturing organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Sr. Principal Software Engineer at FormFactor, you will develop, enhance and support software tools used for the design of FormFactor probe card products.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the architecture, performance and quality of new design automation solutions.
* Responsible to provide technical support to end users of existing automation solutions.
* Work closely with internal customers to understand their needs and implement solutions to design problems.
* Work closely with internal partners including Information Technology to integrate new solutions into production systems.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED


  • Master of Science in Computer Science or related.
  • Expertise in developing software in C++ is required.
  • Expertise developing software using Microsoft Visual Studio a big plus.
  • Expertise in developing software in C# and Python a big plus.
  • Knowledge of the Semiconductor Industry and manufacturing processes a big plus.
  • Skill with MS Word, Excel, and other MS Office tools required.
  • Good team and interpersonal skills.
  • Good English communication skills.


The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $90,500 and $118,755. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. Benefits offered for this role include medical, dental, vision, EAP, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending and savings accounts, 401(k), ESPP and paid time off.
