Summary:

The Military Funeral Honors (MFH) Regional Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the effective operation, training, and compliance of MFH State Coordinators across multiple states or territories. This role ensures the timely processing of mission requests, adherence to Army and National Guard Bureau (NGB) policies, and proper training of personnel. The Regional Coordinator also serves as a mentor and advisor, ensuring compliance with Army, NGB, State National Guard (NG), and Installation Management Command (IMCOM) regulations.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure all MFH State Coordinators properly vet mission requests in accordance with published guidance.
  • Oversee the entry of mission requests into the MFH database within 24 hours and ensure all missions are closed out within 72 hours.
  • Ensure all MFH State Coordinators adhere to the Army National Guard (ARNG) MFH Training SOP and effectively oversee training within their respective states/territories.
  • Verify that all MFH State Coordinators receive the necessary training to perform their assigned duties effectively.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and guidance to MFH State Coordinators, ensuring program compliance with Army, NGB, State NG, and IMCOM policies and regulations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing support and clarification on program policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with Army, NGB, State NG, and IMCOM regulations related to Military Funeral Honors.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in database management and compliance tracking.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and training skills.
  • Ability to travel as required to support MFH State Coordinators.
  • Ability to operate a personal or Government computer utilizing Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in recordkeeping or database management.
  • Experience in program coordination, compliance, or military honors/funeral services.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • Must be able to travel within 50 miles of the worksite routinely and long distances when required.
  • Must have a favorable FBI fingerprint card check and initiate a Tier 1 or equivalent investigation (as determined by the Government) before access to Government system can be granted and shall maintain the level of security required for the life of the contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with funeral honors or military ceremonies.
  • Knowledge of Army regulations related to funerals (AR 600-25, AR 638-8, etc.).
  • Certifications in casualty assistance, program management, or a related field.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 annually.
