MORI Associates is seeking a Business Analyst to support NASA's Strategy and Architecture Office (SAO) in their mission to collaboratively develop IT strategy and architecture to meet the Agency's current and future needs. This role will work to drive transformation, innovation, informed investment planning, and processes to measure and communicate results in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency's enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA's message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA's communication to the outside world. JOB DESCRIPTION / FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identify and catalog business processes within the enterprise.
  • Use documented managed business processes, capture workflows, roles, inputs, outputs, and dependencies to identify opportunity for optimization.
  • Participate in working sessions with stakeholders and process owners to identify process workflows, roles, decision points, and interrelationships between different business areas.
  • Participate in business process automation workshops and user story working sessions, provide comments to the automation requirements and user stories in support of the process owners.
  • Perform end user acceptance testing for the Enterprise Business Dashboard system that meets defined system requirements.
  • Document and present end user acceptance findings to the Enterprise Business Architect.

EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS WORK REQUIREMENTS:

BA/BS 4-year degree and 10-years of relative work experience.

EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated expertise in IT strategic planning, project management, process improvement.
  • Extensive knowledge of data visualization and business intelligence Tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to learn new things (governmental processes, software, tools, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills (writing, summary commentary, etc.), including the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate across all organizational levels including senior executives.
  • Ability to accurately assess and understand customer needs and work with a sense of urgency to satisfy those needs within negotiated timeframes.
  • Skills in translating and executing on strategic road maps.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience supporting a federal agency.
  • Experience developing analytics dashboards, preferably in a role supporting transformation, process optimization, or automation efforts.

Salary Range: $105K to 120K.
