What is The Role:

We're looking to add a new node to our cluster, focusing on go-to-market (GTM), product marketing programs and sales enablement for our Elastic Security solution. In this role, you will work closely with many functions across Elastic, including marketing, engineering, demand gen, and field to help define and execute on GTM strategy for the Elastic Security solution, which includes our SIEM, Endpoint, and Cloud security products. You will play a major part in driving the growth of Elastic Security, launching new solutions and products, positioning new releases to the market, and driving GTM activities with the field organization.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Define and execute a go-to-market plan for the Elastic Security solution, with measurable KPIs against key goals; report on key initiatives at the company level.
  • Be the expert on target personas and segments, how users adopt and customers buy our products, and the value they derive from them.
  • Clearly articulate Elastic's position and differentiation vs similar security offerings, and be the expert on competitive capabilities.
  • Provide thought leadership around security market trends and competing solutions.
  • Lead security related strategy for community, events, and analyst relations
  • Create, curate, and present compelling content for releases, executive briefings, blogs and internal enablement
  • Represent the company at various speaking engagements, conferences, and press interviews.
  • Lead a growing Elastic Security product marketing team, including hiring and development of talent.

What You Bring:

Being successful as our Sr. Director, Product Marketing for Elastic Security will require you to bring domain expertise in one or more security use cases, such as SIEM, endpoint detection and response, security orchestration and response, etc. Practitioner experience is a plus. In detail, we would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Expertise in crafting differentiated messaging, positioning, and winning GTM strategies
  • Experience leading product marketing at a specialized business unit, collaborating with matrixed marketing, sales, and product organizations.
  • Courage to go deep on technical capabilities to properly understand differentiation and positioning to practitioners and CISOs alike
  • Several years experience leading outbound initiatives addressing the needs of a range of customers with complex requirements (commercial to enterprise scale).
  • Creative energy, courage to throw out the playbook, and out of the box thinking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including extensive public speaking experience.
  • Proven success working in a cross functional role with a highly distributed team
  • Familiarity with a wide range of security technology - including traditional, modern, and AI-influenced approaches
  • Familiarity with Elastic technology is preferred, but not required.

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component.

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below.

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program. Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.

$212,100-$335,600 USD

$254,900-$403,200 USD
