Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Programmer to join our team and provide critical support to the client UI Modernization efforts. This role will focus on supporting the operations, maintenance, application development, and system architecture design necessary for the continued success of UI Modernization and other related initiatives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in software engineering, system integration, data management, and cloud/hybrid infrastructures, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet client's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Operations and Maintenance Services



  • Provide ongoing support for UI Modernization and future efforts, including software development and system maintenance.





  • Collaborate with multi-contractor teams as part of Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to maintain and update UI systems.





  • Support configuration management, database management, and application development to ensure a secure, high-performance system.





  • Provide 24/7 support for all aspects of the UI modernization business areas, ensuring compliance with DOL's standards for software, databases, and systems.



Software Engineering and Development



  • Design, develop, and enhance the UI Modernization system and related applications within a DOL-centric modular framework.





  • Provide technical leadership in software engineering practices, including evaluating and developing software systems that meet both DOL and State UI business requirements.





  • Develop security documentation, test plans, and support for IT Security artifacts to ensure compliance during system accreditation processes.





  • Implement software updates, enhancements, and patches in accordance with DOL standards and processes.



Software Architecture and Platform Support



  • Develop and maintain software architecture, ensuring it meets business requirements for UI modernization.





  • Evaluate new technologies and platform performance to improve and sustain existing software systems.





  • Collaborate with state IT teams to define application specifications and ensure compliance with the functional requirements.



Data Analysis and Reporting



  • Provide statistical and data analysis to assist in evaluating the effectiveness of UI modernization efforts.





  • Prepare and present performance reports, graphs, and executive summaries for stakeholders.





  • Analyze discrepancies and deviations in data to detect errors, deficiencies, or manipulations that could affect project outcomes.



Testing and Quality Assurance



  • Oversee the testing process for software applications, ensuring that functional, security, and quality requirements are met.





  • Create test plans and participate in user acceptance, performance, and system testing.





  • Administer testing for all application releases to ensure they meet functional and security standards.



Help Desk Support



  • Provide Tier 3 support for technical issues related to UI Modernization, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.





  • Track and manage help desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution of all end-user issues.





  • Assist in resolving data exchange issues between DOL-operated interfaces and state systems.



Qualifications



  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.





  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems programming, software engineering, or a related field.





  • Preferred Certifications: ITIL, PMP, Scrum Master are a plus.





  • Extensive experience with software development, architecture design, and deployment.





  • Proven experience in working with cloud, hybrid, and on-premise infrastructures.





  • Expertise in configuration management, database management, and system testing.





  • Experience with data analytics, reporting, and performance evaluations.





  • Demonstrated experience in working within agile/scrum teams.





  • Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or equivalent.





  • Strong knowledge of software engineering methodologies and system development lifecycle (SDLC).





  • Familiarity with DOL-defined tools and Change Management processes.





  • Experience with cloud technologies and database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle).





  • Experience with security standards, including FISMA and NIST.





  • Knowledge of UI modernization technologies, secure data transfer, and processing





  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, particularly in complex IT environments.





  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including federal and state staff, other contractors, and project teams.





  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.





  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership.



Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $120,700 to $149,100 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The targe salary for this position is $134,800. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
