University of Minnesota Medical Center and University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital have provided compassionate, expert, innovative care to blood and marrow transplant (BMT) patients for over 40 years.Our program has been at the forefront of advances since performing the world's first successful BMT in 1968. Our teams have performed more than 6,000 BMTs since that time. Our BMT Program continues to thrive as one of the most respected BMT research and treatment programs in the world. The RN - Infusion is responsible for performing these functions and working in collaboration with providers and care team to perform these functions in accordance with all policy, procedure, and professional practice guidelines. An RN in this role will be trained in BMT clinic where they will assist with clinic procedures as well as RN needs. They will also be trained in the BMT infusion center. This RN will also be cross trained to the Masonic Cancer Care lab which treats both BMT patients as well as Hem/ONC patients. What you will do as an RN - Infusion:
