Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist will support various functional areas within Human Resources and provide practical solutions to common HR needs. This position will support multiple business lines across several states. Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Supports the recruitment function to include conducting initial phone screens, pre-employment checks, and maintaining required reporting within the applicant tracking system
• Manages employee onboarding administration and file maintenance
• Functions as a resource for questions from management and employees concerning various HR policies, procedures, and protocols
• Supports routine employee relations actions and documentation
• Plans and executes recurring activities such as the United Way campaign, Annual Health Screens, Company Picnic, Trip Reduction Program, etc.
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience working as a Human Resources Generalist in a professional, corporate setting
• Minimum of one year of prior Staffing experience
• A Bachelor degree in Human Resources or business-related field
• Ability to communicate with employees at all levels, including providing recommendations to leadership
• Effective organization and project management skills, including the ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize
• Strong interpersonal skills including ability to interact, consult, and collaborate
• Ability to work effectively in both a team setting and independently
• High standard of respect for confidentiality is essential
• Must have strong initiative and desire to learn new skills and processes
• Must possess a working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook and be able to learn/operate other systems with ease
• Independent judgment is required for appropriate decision making, problem solving and priority setting

This position is non-exempt. Compensation is aligned to experience, skills and education.
