DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will handle applications and inquiries received through various channels, including postal service, messenger, legislative, fax, in-person customers, and electronic platforms such as notepads, CMV mail queue, and Outlook. Daily responsibilities encompass a range of commercial motor vehicle transactions, such as titling trucks, suspending or restoring records, and issuing registrations or duplicate credentials. Your tasks will involve reviewing and addressing customer inquiries via telephone, in-person, or written communication, as well as managing a cash drawer and regularly submitting a funds collected report. You will also provide assistance at the customer service counter and be accountable for all unaccounted funds, including cash, credits, debits, and electronic records. Additionally, you will investigate and resolve inquiries or discrepancies, make independent decisions with minimal supervisory oversight, and deliver exceptional customer service and professionalism. You will reference information from various agencies, including the Public Utility, Department of Revenue Fuel Tax, Motor Vehicle Code, Federal Motor Carrier Safety, Internal Revenue Service Heavy Use Tax, International Registration Plan, and Philadelphia Parking Authority to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
