THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be providing recommendations in connection with the development and improvement of new and existing data processing systems to enhance the integrity of the licensing process or to improve the efficiency of related activities. Work involves processing applications for operators, manufacturers, suppliers, vendors, junket enterprises, key employees, permittee and registrants, and related revenue. Effective communication is key as you will be corresponding with applicants to ensure timely receipt of required information as well as maintaining contact with Bureau managers regarding the status of applications, licenses, and any other outstanding issues requiring supervisory action. You will have the opportunity to utilize your administrative expertise as you prepare correspondence, reports, charts, and other documents in connection with licensing, permitting, registration, and certification responsibilities. Additionally, you will update databases to ensure accurate information is being tracked regarding the applicant, licensee, and affiliates.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework). In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44, 890 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • An associate's degree in a closely related field from an accredited college and two years of additional experience from a government agency or a large business; or
  • A bachelor's degree in a discipline appropriate to the position from an accredited college or university; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must have experience processing or curing applications for operators, manufacturers, suppliers, vendors, or any related areas.
  • You must have experience communicating with the general public.
  • You must have experience updating databases.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • Employment is contingent upon the completion of a Personal History Questionnaire with a thorough background investigation, including drug screening and the subsequent review and approval by the Board.
