QUALITY CONTROL LAB SUPPORT TECHNICIAN I (ONSITE)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Control Department is responsible for all testing related to the manufacturing and release of Leukine which includes testing raw materials, process intermediates, Bulk Drug Substance ("BDS"), and Drug Product ("DP"). The Lab Support Technician I role is an individual contributor who maintains and prepares the onsite laboratories to perform required testing.

This position is an ONSITE role requiring a presence 5 days per week at our Lynnwood, WA plant which is a cGMP production scale manufacturing facility for our product, Leukine (sargramostim), a therapeutic glycoprotein.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Maintains lab by washing glassware, disposing of waste/reagents, and general housekeeping duties.
  • Accurately prepares solutions and reagents following Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Follows strict documentation and record keeping requirements for Good Manufacturing Practice ("GMP") pharmaceutical products.
  • Performs routine maintenance on equipment/instruments.
  • Reviews and maintains logbooks for various purposes.
  • Supports the Sample Management System for all QC samples.
  • Abides by safety protocols in the lab.
  • Maintains inventory levels and orders chemical reagents and lab supplies.
  • Scans and files records and documents.
  • Works with People Leader to plan and complete work.
  • May perform testing depending on experience and education.
  • Adheres to all applicable regulations and requirements including compliance with internal SOPs, GMP, Health and Safety, WISHA/OSHA, regulatory compliance, company policies, and employment-related laws and statutes.
  • Successfully completes all mandatory Quality and Compliance training within required timeframes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Required:



  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, reliability, and initiative when encountering changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well in a team environment.
  • Solid English language skills, both oral and written, are required for this highly collaborative role. Willingness and ability to clearly express opinions and ask questions. Comfortable actively participating in meetings.
  • Excellent soft skills including a bias towards action, the ability and willingness to give and receive constructive feedback, is comfortable working within a diverse team and across multiple functions, exhibits a consistently constructive attitude, and is adaptable and at ease with handling unexpected challenges.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products, especially Word and Excel.


EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Required:



  • High School diploma or GED.


Preferred:



  • B.S. or equivalent degree in science (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc.) or related field (Chemical Engineering, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • At least 1 year of work experience, preferably in an environment that requires reading and understanding of SOPs.

The current pay range for this position is $50,500 - $62,500: Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Your salary will vary depending on several factors including your qualifications and experience.
