Responsible for the day-to-day administration and ensuring that the health,, welfare, life, disability, leave of absence and retirement benefit plans operate efficiently and effectively. Responsible for ensuring that the plans remain compliant with federal and local regulations. Responsible for effectively researching, analyzing, and communicating benefits programs with employees at all levels of the organization, to include senior leadership, active and retired employees, surviving spouses, dependents and external agencies. Minimum Skills Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Understands processes and procedures in specialized field.
Has exposure to broad variety of communications with Plan participants.
Incumbent must set priorities, organize work and make occasional exceptions.
Experience in HR related field, Benefits, finance or accounting preferred.
Exceptionally strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
Ability to multi-task various critical work assignments in a fast paced environment in a professional manner.
Ability to effectively manage sensitive and confidential information.
Initiative to work independently or as a member of a team, coordinating with others to achieve desired results.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of personnel.
Ability to meet goals and objectives with minimal direct supervision.
Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to make recommendations and independent decisions.
High level of accuracy of work and attention to detail, to include the ability to perform precise mathematical calculations.
