Internship Summary:

This internship position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of healthcare finance. As an intern, you will play a supportive role in maintaining financial records, assisting with audits, and preparing reports that contribute to the fiscal health of our organization. Your daily responsibilities will include data entry, account reconciliation, processing transactions, and contributing to the efficiency of our accounting operations. You will work closely with experienced professionals who will guide your learning and help you understand the complexities of healthcare accounting. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, has a strong aptitude for numbers, and is interested in a career in finance within the healthcare industry. Required Experience:



  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university with a major in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous internship or work experience in accounting or finance is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with data entry and management.
  • Understanding of basic financial reporting and the general ledger structure.
  • Exposure to financial statement analysis and reconciliation tasks.
  • Participation in relevant extracurricular activities, such as finance clubs or academic societies, is advantageous.
  • Any experience with healthcare industry regulations or finance is beneficial but not mandatory.



Required Skills:



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial terminology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Quick learner with a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
