Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Sprinkler Supervisor to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, directing, application engineering, procurement, field installation, start-up, and close out of assigned sprinkler projects. This position ensures projects are effectively executed within budgeted cost, time schedules and ensure positive cash flow. In addition, position is key interface with the customer and responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance on all assigned projects.   • Manages, oversees and coordinates fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping fixtures, and equipment for fire sprinkler systems of moderate complexity from award through completion of project, including: overall site management of project(s) for successful and timely completion within budget as required by the contract. Prepares project installation plan, manages the plan and prepares and implements job procedures according to specifications and fire sprinkler industry standards.
  • Translates a variety of project needs / requirements, including pipe routing and securing locations, into detailed project implementation plans to meet Customer requirements. Provides direct supervision of installation labor and subcontractors assembling, cutting, threading, and hammering piping, tubes, fittings, and related equipment to walls, structures, and fixtures; preparation of project schedules, subcontracts, and change proposals.
  • Effectively communicates project requirements to project team and wider organization as and when required, and maintains accurate and up to date records of job status, job changes, material flow and other control records necessary for processing of internal and external reports.
  • Acts as "our customer's best service provider" at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer's first choice for service.
  • Proactively communicates project schedules, project change proposals and related project activities on a regular basis with customer and seek to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinates the procurement of materials, supplies, services and controls necessary for timely and cost effective completion of project within budget.
  • Identifies potential project risks and develops/implements strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
  • Oversees overall site management of project(s) for successful and timely completion within budget as required by the contract. Establish project milestones and identify reasons for low job site productivity and determine impact on the project; adjusts or corrects project plan and/or project estimates as necessary to meet financial goals.
  • Supervises Sprinkler Fitters, Sprinkler Supervisors, and Installers in the field. May perform managerial responsibilities including but not limited to: mentoring, coaching and developing colleagues; performance management; planning, assigning and directing work.
  • Manage the execution and review of all scope of work, terms and conditions in customer contracts including delivery fulfillment, and quality of service and other customer requirements as they arise .
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.



What You'll Need




  • Exceptional customer focus and ability to regularly work under pressure; consistent ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
  • Frequent visits to jobsites are required. Minimal overnight travel is required. Valid driver's license required.


  • Advanced organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.


  • Basic project management experience in a technical environment (sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems).
  • Developing coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills; solid leadership orientation - Actively seeks ways in which to act as a role model, guide, develop and mentor others within the organization.
  • Developing team leadership, team building and facilitation skills.
  • Shows initiative - engages in proactive behavior and looks for opportunities.
  • Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper, pipe threader, pipe benders, saws, and cutting torches.) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; advanced math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, flow rates etc.)
  • Adaptable - responds effectively to changes in situation or information; ability to influence others and build consensus using strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Requirements:

Education: High School/GED or equivalent



  • Associate's degree in electronics preferred


Minimum Experience: 10+ years relevant field



  • Nicet level II
  • Industry-specific certifications and/or licenses
  • Must have valid driver's license with a clean driving record


Preferred Experience: (but not required):



  • FASA/BASA
  • Multiple product-specific certifications
