Operations Intern

nVent's Operations Internship will provide the opportunity to support a variety of facets of day to day plant operations, gaining exposure and valuable development experiences within a global manufacturing organization. This is a 10-week full-time internship during summer 2025.

In this position, you will get to:

  • Assist in refining and developing Carrier On-Time Reporting (OTR)

  • Develop Carbon Reporting Capacity (Environmental, Health and Safety Initiative)

  • Cross functionally engage and support other functions of ISC team

  • Present cost benefits of Freight Rate Proposals

  • Analyze freight spend across various modes and lanes

YOU HAVE:

  • A rising Senior majoring in: Supply Chain Management (& Logistics), Business Analytics, or Industrial Engineering

  • Current enrollment in a four-year business or engineering degree program; information systems emphasis a plus

  • Previous Analytics, Supply Chain Management or Engineering Internships preferred

  • Skills/Experience with Tableau and Excel is preferred

Internship Details

  • Interns are paid hourly for time worked

  • Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work

  • Relocation and housing support is available for eligible candidates

  • Interns and Co-ops receive paid time off, paid sick time, paid volunteer time, and paid holidays

  • Interns who demonstrate outstanding performance may be offered a subsequent internship or full-time offer of employment with nVent

Location: The Operations Internship is based out of our facility in Solon, OH.

Your experience as an intern goes beyond the day-to-day of your role. In addition to the support of your manager, you can expect to grow and develop through exposure to leadership, engaging in development opportunities, and networking with other early career professionals.
